At Tenuta Montauto we produce the basics of Italian food:
not only wheat for pasta and grapes for wine, but olives for extra virgin olive oil which, of the riches of the earth, is certainly the most regal.

In particular, a heritage of 1,000 olive trees of the Caninese, Moraiolo, Leccino and Frantoio varieties up to 50 years old is administered here.

Every year, the extra virgin oil we obtain is different, and even in difficult years, like the last, the result fills us with great satisfaction.

An opulent balsam, a nectar in the grace of God, the colour of pure gold: liquid gold with a round, regal perfume, shot through with an herbaceous and sweet, almond-like freshness, and a floral freshness of sun-warmed wild flowers.

On the palate, the roundness is creamy and enveloping, silky and opulent with a rich, textured substance, where it is the harmony between the hard and soft components that captivates the palate, enraptured by a persistence that, in the aftertaste and, thanks to the polyphenols, may remind one of green tea.

The salient sensation is a soft and reassuring sweetness, where the spiciness comes in, gently, to refresh and, not least, to boost the final perception.
