Montauto Estate
Montauto Estate has been in my family for more than 60 years.
It was my grandfather Enos, in the 1980s, to plant the first vineyards, but it was not until 2001 that the company took its current form, when after a degree in business administration I embarked on my first winemaking project and, with it, turned my life around.
Together with the oenologist we rediscovered the terroir of Montautothe peculiar composition of the soil, clayey and rich in minerals such as quartz, and its exposure, caressed by the regenerating sea breezes of Capalbiohere, only 10 km away as the crow flies, dry, refresh and invigorate, both the vines and the thinking.
An ideal condition, this, to the production of great white wines. We manage the vineyards in a way environmentally friendly e natural while in the cellar, obsessive care and attention allow us to produce brilliant, clean, fresh and mineral wines: wines whose fundamental characteristics are elegance and drinkability.
I'm sure that when you taste them, you will understand what I mean.
