Poggio del Crine
Vineyards
The grapes come from 30-year-old vines, organically managed, treated only with copper and sulphur and fertilised with stable manure, and placed on a high spurred cordon to ensure the grapes are shaded and preserve the aromas. The clay soil, rich in iron and quartz, is located 200 m above sea level and 10 km from the coast, in a unique and uncontaminated terroir, characterised by significant temperature excursions between day and night.Plant
High spurred cordon to provide shade for the grapes and preserve the aromas, with 3000 vines/hectare.Vinification
The grapes are selected and harvested by hand and placed in 18 kg crates. Before being pressed, the grapes are placed overnight in cold storage in order to have a greater extraction of aromas and avoid oxidation. After full fermentation, the wine is left in barriques for 10 months. Bottled by hand and unfiltered. A refinement of 3 years in bottle follows.Wine
The colour is light ruby red, with garnet hues, brilliant. The nose expresses elegant hints of small red fruits, such as raspberry, wild strawberry and blackberry, with elegant and delicate balsamic and citrus notes. The palate has a good structure and the soft, silky tannins, fine acidity and remarkable persistence make it perfectly balanced and exceptionally drinkable. Balance, finesse and elegance are the elements that characterise this wine
