The Essential Guide to the Wines of Italy 2024 by Doctor Wine by Daniele Cernilli rewards our Poggio del Crine 2018, a selection of old vines, as the best wine made from Sauvignon grapes in Italy: a crowning achievement that does justice to the path undertaken almost fifty years ago, and which in times not out of suspicion led us to invest in a noble and difficult white grape variety such as Sauvignon, in an area still to be deciphered, that of Montauto. It was a moment of insight and (pre)vision, of which we are more proud than ever.
