At Tenuta Montauto we produce the basics of Italian food:
not only wheat for pasta and grapes for wine, but olives for extra virgin olive oil which, of the riches of the earth, is certainly the most regal.<\/p>

In particular, a heritage of 1,000 olive trees of the Caninese, Moraiolo, Leccino and Frantoio varieties up to 50 years old is administered here.<\/p>

Every year, the extra virgin oil we obtain is different, and even in difficult years, like the last, the result fills us with great satisfaction.<\/p>

An opulent balsam, a nectar in the grace of God, the colour of pure gold: liquid gold with a round, regal perfume, shot through with an herbaceous and sweet, almond-like freshness, and a floral freshness of sun-warmed wild flowers.<\/p>

On the palate, the roundness is creamy and enveloping, silky and opulent with a rich, textured substance, where it is the harmony between the hard and soft components that captivates the palate, enraptured by a persistence that, in the aftertaste and, thanks to the polyphenols, may remind one of green tea.<\/p>

The salient sensation is a soft and reassuring sweetness, where the spiciness comes in, gently, to refresh and, not least, to boost the final perception.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
